📌OFFICIAL: Toni Kroos confirms he will retire after Real Madrid’s final match in the Champions League Final

Midfielder Toni Kroos has officially confirmed his farewell to Real Madrid and retirement after EURO 2024 through an emotional post on Instagram.

“July 17, 2014 – the day I made my debut at Real Madrid, the day that changed my life. My life as a footballer – but more especially as a person. That was the beginning of a new chapter at the greatest club in the world. After 10 years, this journey will end at the end of the season. I will never forget that proud and successful time!

I especially want to thank all those who welcomed me with open hearts and placed their trust in me. But most of all, I would like to send my most sincere thanks to my dear Madridistas, for your love and affection from the first day until the last moments.

At the same time, this decision also means that my football career will officially end this summer after the European Football Championship. As I have always said: Real Madrid is and will always be my last club. I am happy and proud that I have found the right time for this decision and can make my own choice. My ambition has always been to end my career while still at its peak. From now on, there is only one goal: to win the 15th Champions League! Hala Madrid and nothing more!”.

From Real Madrid, they also released a statement: “Real Madrid CF announced that Toni Kroos has decided to end his professional football career after EURO 2024.
